Connect OpenClaw to Akievo
Give your OpenClaw agent persistent, structured planning that survives session resets. Your agent creates the plan. You refine it. The agent adapts.
Requirements
- • OpenClaw installed and running (Node 22+)
- • An Akievo account (free or paid)
- • An API key with
boards:read+boards:writescopes
Step 1: Install the Akievo Skill
One command to install from ClawHub
This installs the Akievo skill with structured agent instructions and MCP server configuration.
Step 2: Generate an API Key
Create a scoped API key in your Akievo account
- Go to My Account
- Click the API Keys tab
- Click Create API Key
- Name it something like
OpenClaw Agent - Select scopes: boards:readandboards:write
- Click Create and copy the key (starts with
ak_)
Step 3: Add the Key to OpenClaw
Store your API key in OpenClaw's encrypted vault
Replace ak_your_key_here with the API key you just generated. The key is stored encrypted in OpenClaw's vault.
Step 4: Start Planning
Tell your agent what you want to accomplish
That's it! Your agent now has access to Akievo. Try telling it:
I want to launch my SaaS product in 3 months — create a planPlan a content pipeline: weekly newsletter, daily social posts, and monthly SEO articlesBuild and ship an open-source CLI tool — plan the architecture, development, testing, and launchThe agent will create a structured board in your Akievo account. You can view and edit it at any time in the Akievo dashboard.
How Agent Plan Mode Works
🤖 Agent Creates
The agent decomposes your goal into phases (lists) and tasks (cards) with priorities, due dates, and dependencies.
👤 Human Refines
You open Akievo, reprioritize tasks, add notes, change due dates. The board is the shared contract.
🔄 Agent Adapts
Next session, the agent re-reads the board, sees your changes, and picks up where it left off.
Unlike text-file memory solutions, Akievo gives your agent structured persistence — tasks, checklists, dependencies, priorities, and due dates — all editable by humans.
Troubleshooting
Agent says "no tools available"?
Make sure the skill is installed (openclaw skills list) and your API key is set (openclaw config get AKIEVO_API_KEY).
Authentication errors?
Verify your API key hasn't been revoked. Generate a new one in Account → API Keys.
Agent can read but can't create boards?
Your API key needs the boards:write scope. Regenerate a key with both boards:read and boards:write.
Want to use without the skill (raw MCP)?
See the "Manual Config" tab for direct MCP server configuration.
Why Akievo for OpenClaw Agents?
The structured planning layer purpose-built for AI agent workflows
Persistent Kanban Memory for AI Agents
Most AI agents lose context between sessions. With Akievo's OpenClaw Kanban integration, your agent gets a persistent memory layer built on structured boards, lists, and cards. Every task, priority, and deadline survives session resets — giving your OpenClaw agent true long-term memory through an organised Kanban board it can read and write to at any time.
Structured Project Management via MCP
Akievo turns OpenClaw into a project management powerhouse. Agents can create tasks with priorities, due dates, dependencies, checklists, and assignees — all through the MCP protocol. Whether you need OpenClaw task management for a product launch or MCP project planning for a content pipeline, Akievo provides the structured backbone your agent needs to stay organised and execute methodically.
Human-AI Collaboration on Shared Plans
OpenClaw planning works best when humans and agents collaborate. Akievo boards are fully editable by both sides — your agent creates and updates tasks while you reprioritise, add context, or redirect focus. This shared contract model means OpenClaw long-term memory isn't a black box; it's a living plan you both contribute to and can review at any time from any device.
Beyond Plain-Text Memory Files
Many agents rely on .md files or unstructured notes as persistent memory — but these become unwieldy fast. Akievo replaces fragile text-file memory with a proper OpenClaw persistent memory solution: typed fields for status, priority, and dates; dependency graphs between tasks; and visual Kanban views that make it easy to see what's done, what's blocked, and what's next. It's the agent memory solution built for real-world project complexity.
